Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will take a summer break with no racing action this week, July 21, but will return with Juniata County Fire and Rescue (EMS) Night featuring 410 sprints, late models, 305 sprints and an enduro dash on July 28.
A host of Juniata County fire and rescue apparatus and personnel will be on hand for the July 28 show that will feature fire truck rides for youth from 5:30 until 6:15 pm and a parade around the speedway during intermission.
In addition, Andy The Ambulance will be at the speedway to interact with young fans along with static displays of fire and rescue tools and gear.
The night is meant to honor and pay tribute to local emergency responders.
A concert including 13 local bands will be held on speedway grounds on July 21 from 11 am – 10 pm.
