Port Royal – For the first time in a decade, the fire breathing World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars will be returning to the famed half-mile Port Royal Speedway during the upcoming 2014 racing season.
The high-profile show is set for Saturday, October 25 at the Juniata County Oval.
“”We are proud to announce this show as the culmination of years worth of negotiations to bring the best in the sprint car business all back together again at Port Royal Speedway,”” says PRS Promotions pointman and Port Royal promoter Steve O’’Neal.
““Port Royal has the greatest fans anywhere and they’’ve really supported us and come back to us over the last three years as we all have worked together to make Port Royal the kind of venue that can now host the World of Outlaws again.””
““We’’ve now given those fans the best season we as a track could offer by hosting all the best sanctioning bodies in the country at the track in one season, capped off by the World of Outlaws,”” O’’Neal says.
“”We hope the fans see this show as the greatest reward we could offer them in return for their increasing support over the last several seasons.””
The World of Outlaws too are excited to be getting back to Port Royal.

Indeed, the show will pit the best touring 410 sprint drivers in the world, the World of Outlaws, against the also world renown Pennsylvania Posse sprint car stars.
It will be a show that can’’t be missed.
The most recent World of Outlaws show at the track took place back in 2004 when Donny Schatz took the win over Daryn Pittman, Lucas Wolfe, Steve Kinser and Kraig Kinser. To date in Port Royal and World of Outlaws history there has been a total of seven World of Outlaws events held at Port Royal Speedway.
It was not until 2001 that an outlaws pilot graced the Port Royal winner’s circle when Danny Wood took the victory.
Local Lynn Paxton took the first ever outlaws show held at the track back in 1979.
Other Port Royal World of Outlaws winners have been Jason Meyers, Brad Furr, Doug Wolfgang and Don Kreitz Jr.
The 2014 World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars event at Port Royal Speedway will hold the distinction of being the final race and venue in Pennsylvania at which 20-time WoO champion King of the Outlaws Steve Kinser will compete as an official full-time outlaws competitor.
The outlaws titan recently announced that he will retire from the full World of Outlaws schedule at the conclusion of the 2014 season, dubbed as the “”Salute To The King” tour.”.
Details concerning ticket sales and other news surrounding this special Port Royal Speedway World of Outlaws event will be released in the coming weeks.
But mark your calendars now for Port Royal Speedway on October 25 for what will be the last step in the 2014 World of Outlaws tour before taking on The World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in November.
And the last chance to see Steve Kinser race in the Keystone State as a full-time World of Outlaws pilot!
