Bob Weikert Memorial Weekend Awaits May 27 & 28

Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will present Bobby Rahal Toyota of Lewistown Mother’s Night this Saturday, May 13 at 7 pm.

On tap is a four-division racing card of Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, River Valley Builders super late models, Creasy Signs PASS/IMCA 305 sprints and Gray’s Auto & Towing 355 econo-late models.

General admission for all mothers is just $10 for the racing program.

All other general admission is set at $15 with students ages 12 – 18 set at just $7.

Following a week off on May 20, Port Royal Speedway returns in a huge way over the Memorial Day holiday weekend with the Packer’s Concessions Bob Weikert Memorial Weekend races on Saturday and Sunday night.

Saturday, May 27 will offer the Fallen Heroes Championships at Port Royal, honoring the five drivers in history that gave the ultimate sacrifice at the oval.

Twin 30 lap mains will be staged for the 410 sprints and the super late models with the sprints vying for $5,000 to win and $400 to start while the late models race in a $3,000 to win, $300 to start affair.

Saturday’s sprint car winner is a guaranteed starter in Sunday night’s 35-lap Bob Weikert Memorial finale, paying $10,000 to win and $500 to start.

Also in action on Sunday will be the URC 360 Sprint Cars, going 25 laps and paying $200 to start.

Racing both nights begins at 7 pm with gates opening at 4 pm.

Hundreds of fan giveaways will be up for grabs each night courtesy of Weikert’s Livestock and Pepsi.

Sunday is Pepsi Night, offering free Pepsi giveaways at the gates on top of the Weikert giveaways while Saturday’s program offers a beautiful fireworks display.

The raindate for Sunday’s program is Monday night, May 29 at 6 pm.
