Thanks to remnants of Hurricane Harvey, Port Royal Speedway has cancelled the Juniata County Fair Opener races including the Butch Menninger Memorial slated for Saturday, September 2.

The cancellation of the Renninger Memorial sets up a huge September 8 racing program at the oval as the Renninger Memorial for super late models will now take place in tandem with the conclusion of the 2017 Moon Shine Camo Late Model Challenge Series at the speedway.

The Renninger Memorial Moon Shine Camo event on Friday, September 8 will now go 33-laps in distance, paying $3,300 to win and $300 to start.

All the lap money and contingency cash and prizes slated for the Renninger race on September 2 will now be posted and paid out in the September 8 racing program.

September 8 will also be the final Port Royal points race for the super late models.

Also on the program will be the Night Before The 50 All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints in a 30-lap, $5,000 to win event

The Renninger Memorial for econo late models including the increased purse and all contingency cash and prizes will now be conducted and handed out in the econo late model portion of the September 9 program.
