51st Port Royal Tuscarora 50 Postponed By Rains, Make-up Date Forthcoming

Announcement expected within 48 hours, Fans must keep raincheck wristbands

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – With 53 cars pitside for the running of the 51st annual Tuscarora 50 on Saturday, rains hit just after qualifying time trials had been completed, forcing cancellation of the All Stars Circuit of Champions Saturday program.

With diminished hopes of completing the program on Sunday, the slated raindate, oval and All Stars officials still forged ahead with plans to conduct the event on September 9.

However rains overnight and through the morning on Sunday forced another cancellation.

Port Royal Speedway officials are currently working out the details of a make-up date for the 51st annual Port Royal Speedway Tuscarora 50, sponsored by Packer’s Concessions and Ramsey’s Car Washes & Garage.

The Tuscarora 50 will be rescheduled.  The make-up date is expected to be announced within 48 hours as of noon on Sunday.

Fans and teams need to keep their admission raincheck wristbands and reserved seat tickets from September 8 pending details of the make-up date.
