Wagner, Rine & Garman Secure Port Royal Titles

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – The close of the Juniata County Fair on September 8 has also brought an end to competitive point racing for three track titles at Port Royal Speedway with Logan Wagner, Jeff Rine and Derick Garman all claiming track crowns.

Wagner, of Harrisonville, claimed the 2018 Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint car track title on Friday night with a 10th place run in the All Stars Night Before The 50 event.

Wagner scored a pair of wins on the season at Port Royal during his first full-time season as a sprint car pilot aboard his inaugural season at the wheel of the famous Zemco No. 1 sprint car.

Jeff Rine of Danville ended up winning the 2018 River Valley Builders super late model point title in style, by claiming the last event of the season on Friday night to end the oval season with five victories.

The 2018 track crown is the first of the veteran’s career at the Juniata County Port Royal oval although he does own two titles at Bedford Speedway and an even dozen crowns at Selinsgrove Speedway in Snyder County.

Derick Garman of Elliottsburg claimed the Gray’s Insurance econo late model series title.

Garman recorded two wins on the season on his way to the track crown.

Two Port Royal Speedway track titles still remain to be decided in October.

Title holders will be determined in the Creasy Signs 305 sprint series and the Juniata Junction xtreme stocks.
