*3/7/20 Update on Infield Availability for Opening Day

By- Justin Snyder/Port Royal Speedway

PORT ROYAL, Pa- Port Royal Speedway would like to thank the fans and drivers for an outstanding turnout for the Test and Tune session and kicking off the 2020 season on a high note.

In advance of the 78th Annual Opening Day race happening Sunday, nearly 60 different cars represented by every regularly scheduled division took to the Speedway on a beautiful day.

Also, due to an expected high attendance turnout and in attempt to further provide the best fan experience possible, we are making a part of the infield open to spectators.

The section referred to as the family section (the smaller gated area) will now be open to fans wishing to stand/sit in the infield. Coolers and chairs will be permitted.

There will be several porta-potties and a food truck on hand for fans in that area. However, fans wishing to spectate from that area will be confined to that space for the entire length of the racing event and won’t be able to come and go until racing is complete.

As announced earlier in the week, the tunnel will still be closed temporarily as we work to ensure proper safety measures are in place for the fans/drivers.

To access the family section, you will need to be at the walk-in pit gate prior to racing activities beginning, where several tram’s will transport fans into the designated infield area. Cars are scheduled to take to the track for warm-ups around 1:20.

We thank you for your continued cooperation and support and we look forward to seeing you all Sunday for Opening Day presented by Packer’s Concessions, LLC.
