PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway is set for Race To Cure Cancer Night coming up this Saturday, April 16 at 6 pm featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the Aumiller’s Insurance super late models and the PASS/IMCA 305 sprints.

Pleasant Mills will have the chance to win a pair of tickets to the upcoming April 23 Port Royal kickoff of the Moon Shine Camo® Rt. 35 Port Royal and Selinsgrove Speedways Dirt Late Model Challenge Series.

The six-race, dual-track series includes three races at each track with a posted $3,500 guaranteed point fund and the first race is April 23 at Port Royal, paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start.

April 9 has been canceled due to unseasonable weather

Port Royal, Pa – The forecast for unseasonable weather and even a few inches of snow on Friday night has persuaded Port Royal Speedway officials to cancel the April 9 racing program. The track will return to action on April 16 with Race To Cure Cancer Night featuring the 410 sprints, super late models and the IMCA/PASS 305 sprints at 6 pm. 

Port Royal Has $1 Hot Dog Night April 9 With Four Divisions In Action

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway will host $1 Hot Dog Night this Saturday, April 9 at 6 pm featuring the first four-division show of the season.

On the agenda aside from $1 hot dogs all evening will be the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the Aumiller’s Insurance super late models, the Gray’s Auto and Towing econo-late models and the season debut of the Len Krautheim Auto Sales xtreme stocks.

Group time trials in warm ups will be used to set heat lineups for the 410 sprints and the super late models.

Adult general admission is $15 with students ages 12 – 18 admitted for just $7. Pit gates open at 3 pm with general admission gates opening at 4.

April 16 will be Race To Cure Cancer Night at Port Royal with 50 cents off of each general admission ticket sold going to the American Cancer Society.

Racing action at 6 pm will feature the 410 sprints, super late models and the 305 sprints.

Located at 35 Envision Drive along Rt. 35, just off of Rt. 322 in Mifflintown, The Red Zone will host the broadcast with numerous drivers and cars on display along with apparel trailers.

Slated to appear and take part in the broadcast will be honoree Keith Kauffman along with current sprint drivers Greg Hodnett, Dylan Cisney, Logan Wagner and their cars. Local late model cars and stars lined up include Moon Shine Camo® entry Hayes Mattern along with Andy Haus, Trent Brenneman and Garrett Gray.

On board to appear with their cars from the All Stars touring group will be Pittsburgh’s Danny Holtgraver and Wooster, Ohio’s Sheldon Haudenschild. All Stars perennial champion Dale Blaney of Hartford, Ohio will also make a personal appearance.

The internet broadcast will be aired live from noon – 3 pm on local channel www.juniatacountyradio.com.

The Port Royal All Star Kauffman Classic at 7pm on April 23 will be a 30-lap main event for the sprint cars paying $5,000 to win while the Moon Shine Camo® late model series kickoff will go 25 laps in distance and pay a minimum of $2,000 to win.

Buckwalter And Lupfer Win Port Royal Mains, Rain Halts 305 Sprints

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Steve Buckwalter and Mike Lupfer took wins in the 410 sprint and super late model mains at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night while rains halted the 305 sprint feature event with just two laps completed.

Buckwalter and Tyler Bear started on the front row of the 410 sprint car main but the first start was called back after a spin by Bear in front of the field sent cars scattering in the fourth turn.

While under the yellow a brief shower halted the event for approximately 20 minutes before action resumed. Read more »

Port Royal Hosts Camera & Autograph Night April 2,  Racing offers 410 sprints, super late models and kickoff of 305 sprint series

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Some 102 race cars jammed the Port Royal Speedway on Saturday night as the UFO Super Late Models kicked off their 2016 series in a clash of the late model titans that saw Rochester Mills’ Gregg Satterlee prevail in an action packed event for the $3,000 payday.

Marks Passes Cisney For Port Royal Sprints Win, Haus Goes Two For Two In Super Lates

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Brent Marks of Myerstown took the lead from Dylan Cisney late in the event to pick up the 410 sprint car feature Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway.

Elsewhere, in the 22-lap super late model main, Hamburg’s Andy Haus made it two in a row in the division to put his mark on the early season.
