Port Royal Hosts Interstate Truck & Tractor Pull This Sunday

Big Holiday Eve Horsepower Display On Tap As Part Of Juniata County Fair

Port Royal – The 160th annual Juniata County Fair and Port Royal Speedway will host the Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers Association sanctioned modified/super turbo truck and tractor pulls at the fairgrounds this Sunday, Labor Day Eve, August 31 at 7 pm.

On the heels of an electrifying performance at the fair last season for the first fair pulls to be staged in about a decade, this year’s event is highly anticipated.

Last year’s pulls at the fair drew a stellar field of 60 entries and a similar if not larger field is expected for the fair pulls this season.

Sponsored by Juniata Lumber Company of Mifflintown and Dotterer Equipment of Honey Grove, Five exciting divisions of ITTPA tractors and trucks will compete at the Juniata County Fair pulls again this year.

Slated to take to the track are the following classes:

8,500 Mod Diesel Turbo Tractors

Pro Stock Semi Tractor Trailer Trucks

7,800 Modified Tractors (up to 2 engines)

10,000 Pro Farm Tractors

8,000 Street Diesel 4×4 pickup trucks

Grandstand admission prices for the ITTPA pulls on August 31 will be $8 for adults and $6 for ages 8 – 12.  Ages 7 and under will be admitted to the grandstand for free.

Grandstand gates will open at 5 pm.

ITTPA is an east coast truck and tractor pulling sanctioning body that competes at agricultural fairs and venues across Pennsylvania as well as in other mid-Atlantic states including Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and New Jersey.

ITTPA pullers stage yearlong competition as part of a point series for each weight class.
