Championship Triple 25s for 410 Sprints, Late Models & 305s Slated With Fireworks!

Port Royal –Port Royal Speedway swings into action this Saturday night, May 23 at 7 pm with a big holiday weekend program of racing as the Fallen Heroes Championships Triple 25s are spun off for 410 sprints, super late models and River Valley Builders 305 sprints.

The 410 sprints, super late models and River Valley Builders 305 sprints will all compete in 25-lap mains with increased purses, meant to honor the five drivers in speedway history who lost their lives in a racing accident at the track.

The 410s will race for $5,000 to win and $350 to start while the late models run for $2,000 to win and $200 to start.

Group time trials will set the heat grids for the 410s and late models.

Run in honor of the late Frank Bailey, Harold Swarmer, Hal Hoose, Dennis Snyder and Randy Thompson, the Fallen Heroes Championships began in 2013.

The inaugural events were taken by Danny Lasoski aboard the Zemco No. 1 sprint car and Coleby Frye in the super late model division.

The defending Fallen Heroes champions are Mike Erdley in sprints and Frye again in late models.

May 23 will also be Pepsi Night and Packers Concession Night at the track with gates for the big show opening at 4 pm.

Adult general admission is just $20 with students ages 12 – 18 admitted for just $7.

The first 200 fans entering the main grandstand will receive either a FREE Pepsi hat or Pepsi Shirt while some 40 12-paks of Pepsi products will be given away during the night as well. Also up for grabs will be tickets to Hershey Park, Knoebels Grove Amusement Resort and the Harrisburg Senators.

The night will be highlighted by a beautiful fireworks display during intermission. It will also be York County Racing Club Night at the oval.

The track comes back on Saturday, May 30 with the Late Model Speedweek Charlie Grinestaff Memorial along with the 410 sprints and the Len Krautheim Auto Sales xtreme stocks at 7 pm.

The super lates will vie in the Speedweek Grinestaff Memorial worth $4,000 to win and $400 to start the 40-lap feature.
