Four Big Port Royal Racing Events In Three Days This Holiday Weekend, Events Part Of 161st Annual Juniata County Fair

Port Royal – Four racing events in three days will kick off the 161st annual Juniata County Fair at the Port Royal Speedway this coming holiday weekend, September 5 – 7.

On tap first on Saturday, September 5 at 7 pm will be a four-division racing program with the super late models highlighting the races with the running of the prestigious Butch Renninger UFO Late Model Memorial.

The big money, 33-lap Renninger Memorial offers $33 to lead a lap, to win heats, and much more.

Along with the super late models, the 410 sprints, econo late models and xtreme stocks are also on the September 5 agenda.

Adult general admission is set at $18 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at JUST $7.

Gates will open at 4 pm with racing slated for 7 pm.

The next night, Sunday, September 6 at 7 pm the Port Royal frontstretch will host the Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers Association as the circuit stages a six-division ITTPA pull.

Slated will be the ITTPA Mod Diesel Turbos, Super Modified and Pro Farm tractors, Pro Stock Semi Tractor Trailers and two classes of 4 x 4 pickup trucks.

Grandstand admission prices for the ITTPA pulls on September 6 will be $8 for adults and $6 for ages 8 – 12.  Ages 7 and under will be admitted to the grandstand for free.  

Grandstand gates will open at 5 pm.

The 64th annual Labor Day Classic for 410 sprints will take place on Monday, Labor Day, September 7 at 1 pm.

!!!!ADULT GENERAL ADMISSION FOR THE LABOR DAY RACING PROGRAM IS JUST $10 and ADMISSION TO THE FAIR IS FREE ALL DAY!!!!  

Students ages 12 – 18 will be admitted for JUST $5 on this day only.

Presented by Foss Jewelers of Mifflintown and Lewistown, the sprint cars will vie for $4,000 to win and an increased purse in the Labor Day Classic while econo lates and legends cars are also on the program.

Grandstand gates will open at 11 am.

Port Royal Speedway will close Labor Day with a two-division Demolition Derby at 6 pm.

Demos will take place for both four and six cylinder vehicles, paying $1,000 to win each.

Grandstand admission is priced at just $5.
