FREE Student, Youth Baseball & Softball Team Uniform Night This Week At Port Royal

410 sprints, super lates, econo lates and 305 sprints on tap including make-up 305 main

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway will present Free Student Night/Youth Baseball and Softball Team Uniform Night this Saturday, May 14 at 7 pm, all sponsored by River Valley Builders.

General admission gates will open at 5 pm with adults priced at $15 and students ages 12 – 18 admitted for FREE on this one special night.

All youngsters attending Saturday’s racing at Port Royal Speedway in their baseball or softball team uniform will be in line for special perks including access to victory lane ceremonies, a lucky tee shirt toss, complimentary concessions and more.

On track action will include the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the Aumiller’s Insurance super late models, the Gray’s Auto and Towing econo late models and the River Valley Builders 305 sprints.

In addition, a make-up 305 sprint main held over from April 30 will also be run after falling victim to rain two weeks ago.

The Port Royal pits were packed with 105 race cars including 36 sprints and 37 super late models on May 7 with numerous invaders in competition including sprinters Jack Sodeman Jr. of North Jackson, OH., AJ Flick of Apollo and George Hobaugh of Chicora.

Late model invaders included Brian Tavenner of Winchester, VA., Scott Palmer of Greencastle, Gary Stuhler of Greencastle, Glenn Elliott of Sykesville, MD., and Kenny Moreland of Waldorf, MD.

Moreland nearly picked up the late model main on the night, proclaiming he had fallen in love with the track on just his first-ever visit while Flick noted via Twitter that one hasn’t lived until they’ve taken a lap at speed around the historic oval.

Port Royal is dark for Spring Break on May 21 before returning with the three-day Bob Weikert Memorial Sprint Car Spectacular sponsored by Packer’s Concessions on May 28, 29 and 30.
