USAC Eastern Storm To Hit Port Royal Speedway Saturday

305 sprints and econo lates share the racing card on EMMR/Penn Central Night

 PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway will host its annual visit by the wingless USAC sprint car stars this Saturday night, June 11 at 7 pm as the USAC Eastern Storm Series hits the oval.

USAC Qualifying time trials, heats, a b main and a 30-lap feature will greet the fans as the night of thrilling wingless 410-sprint car racing is spun off.

Also in action will be the River Valley Builders PASS/IMCA 305 sprints along with the Gray’s Auto and Towing 355-econo late models in a championship event.

Saturday will also be EMMR/Penn Central Racing Reunion night at the track with dozens of restored racecars on display prior to and during the racing program.

The cars of yesteryear will also be afforded track time for exhibition laps.

General admission gates for the big show open at 4 pm.

Adult general admission is set at $25 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at just $7.

Robert Ballou of Rocklin, California, is the defending Port Royal USAC winner.

The United States Auto Club first competed at the speedway back in 2012 when California’s Damion Gardner took the victory.

Wingless veteran Dave Darland of Indiana was victorious in 2013 followed by Oklahoma’s Brady Bacon in 2014.

Ballou, Darland, Bacon and other national stars are expected to compete in the USAC Eastern Storm this season, returning to Port Royal Speedway on Saturday.

Other expected to compete include Indiana’s Shane Cottle, Alabama’s Kevin Thomas Jr., Indiana’s CJ Leary, Arizona’s Jerry Coons Jr., Ohio’s Landon Simon, Indiana’s Chase Stockon, Indiana’s Bryan Clauson, California’s Chad Boespflug and many more.
