Port Royal Hosts Sr. Citizens Night & $1 Dog Night August 26

Seniors age 62 and older get $5 off general admission with ID

Racing program offers 410 sprints, super lates, 305 sprints and econo lates

Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will host Locust Grove Retirement Sr. Citizens Night and $1 Hot Dog Night this Saturday, August 26 at 7 pm.

Adults ages 62 and older WITH ID will receive $5 off general admission for the night at the races.

Action on the track will include racing for the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the River Valley Builders super late models, the Creasy Signs 305 sprints and the Gray’s Auto & Towing econo late models.

A kids bus ride will also be held at intermission.  

Adult general admission will be $15 with students ages 12 – 18 priced at $7.

General admission gates open at 5 pm.

The August 26 racing program comes just one week before the kickoff of the 163rd annual Juniata County Fair on Saturday, September 2, featuring the oval’s marquee event for the super late models, the lucrative Butch Renninger Memorial 33.

The Renninger Memorial 33 will go 33 laps in distance, paying $3,300 to win and $300 to start.

Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills is the defending Renninger Memorial champion.

Port Royal Speedway and the Juniata County Fair will be the place to be for motorsports excitement from September 2 through September 9 with no less than seven events slated.

The oval will host the Interstate Truck and Tractor Pullers on Sunday night, September 3 at 7 pm and an unsanctioned 4 x 4 truck pull on Wednesday, September 6 at 7 pm.

Labor Day, Monday, September 4 at 1 pm will feature the annual Labor Day Classic for 410 sprints plus a late-day demolition derby while the biggest race in the history of Port Royal Speedway looms.

The September 8 and 9 weekend will host the All Stars 50th annual Tuscarora 50 weekend with the Saturday Tuscarora 50 paying $50,000 to win out of a total purse worth some $105,000.

Friday night will feature the All Stars in a 30-lap, $5,000 to win main.
