Kids Night And Pepsi Night This Saturday At Port Royal Speedway

Racing includes 410 sprints, super lates, xtreme stocks and special for econo lates

PORT ROYAL, Pa. – Port Royal Speedway will present Kids Night and Pepsi Night coming up this Saturday, July 14 when gates open at 4 pm for a 7 pm racing card.

Sponsored by Dotterer Equipment Inc. of Honey Grove and Mill Hall, Kids Night will offer hundreds of youth the chance to win prizes and compete in bicycle and big wheel races during the night.

All Kids Night prize giveaways will begin in the brown commercial building when gates open at 4 pm.

Prizes will be given away based on age groups. All youth will be required to wear helmets to compete in bicycle races.

Pepsi will be giving away select prizes to some youth at the event including day passes to Hershey Park and Knoebel’s Grove Amusement Resort as well as tickets to attend Harrisburg Senators baseball games.

In addition, the first 100 adults through the main general admission gate will receive a free Pepsi shirt or hat.

Plus, dozens of 12-paks of Pepsi products will be given away during the night.

On the speedway, racing action will include competition for the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprints, the River Valley Builders super late models and the Juniata Junction xtreme stocks while the Gray’s Insurance econo late models race in a special championship event paying $1,200 to win.

Both the econo late models and the super late models will race for $100 to win in their heat races as sponsored by former area promoter Tedd Reitz.

Adult general admission for the show is $15 with students ages 12 – 18 admitted for $7.
