PA Sprint Speedweek at Port Royal Speedway: Greg Hodnett Classic and More!

Port Royal, PA – July 5, 2024 – This Saturday, racing fans are in for a thrilling night at Port Royal Speedway as part of PA Sprint Speedweek presented by Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews! The penultimate race in the competition promises action and memorable moments, featuring the Weikert Livestock 410 sprint cars battling it out for a $10,000 grand prize in the prestigious Greg Hodnett Classic. Additionally, the Selinsgrove Ford super late models will compete for a $4,000 top prize as a part of a total purse nearing $20,000. The night of racing will be presented by Ramsey's Car Wash in Mifflintown.

There will be a number of events taking place at The Speed Palace on Saturday for fans to look forward to. Race fans can expect the following:

Event Highlights:

Autograph Session: From 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, fans can meet and greet their favorite drivers outside the commercial building. The session will feature Ashley Cappetta, Anthony Macri, Troy Wagaman, Dillon Orwig, and Kody Hartlaub. These drivers will also all be sporting special paint schemes in honor of the late Greg Hodnett during the night.

Silent Auction: Benefitting the Greg Hodnett Foundation, a silent auction will be held inside the commercial building from 4 PM to 7 PM. Auction items include passes and gift cards to BAPS, Williams Grove, and Lincoln Speedways, along with autographed memorabilia and more.

Cornhole Tournament: Starting at 10 AM, Mid-Penn Cornhole will host a tournament with proceeds going to the Greg Hodnett Foundation. Registration is $20 per person.

Greg Hodnett Memorial Scholarship: The winner of this scholarship will be awarded during the opening ceremonies in victory lane.
